On Film Festivals (part one) On Film Festivals (part two) THE LIST: This is not a definitive list. This is something I've been able to cull together over the years. Some fests are no-brainers because you've heard of them, others may be deep-cuts or b-sides worth checking in to. Above all, before submitting to any festival take the time to consider everything I said in Parts One & Two of this blog. *** = Personal Favorite because they take care of the filmmakers and provide mo
On Film Festivals (part one) HOLY CRAP, there are a lot of film festivals. How do you pick? Which ones? How many? Let's get into it. It won't be easy because it's natural for us artists and creators to think everyone will like or benefit from seeing our work, but the truth is, everything is not for everyone. FACT: You will not get into the majority of festivals you submit to. When looking at all the potential festivals you could submit to ask yourself, why submit my film here
It feels like you've done the impossible. Gotten a script together for your short film. You've saved, raised, borrowed and begged for funding to produce your film. We shot it on April 13 and that's about all I can say other than the band was great to work with, and the director @NathanCox really out did himself on this one. So look for the clues in this picture above... there are many... and get ready for one hell
There are things that I keep to myself and things I like to share. Here will be the middle for those who may want to know a bit more of my inner workings. Not necessarily things I want to broadcast, but then again, if my thoughts or experiences may help or be of service you, and you're taking the time to read it, then so be it. I can't tell you what it is, or what it's going to be about, because I don't know. What I do know is that I love food, travel, music, people, and
