Best Friend, the award-winning short film made for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, has captured the heart of global audiences. As writer/director, I've now developed the short into a feature screenplay. Deidre's story expands into the world of streetwear fashion, where she's obsessed with trying to adapt to her style and verve to new life in Hollywood.

For more than nine years, I've been a disability advocate, and after a recent diagnosis, I now identify as a writer/director with a disability. I understand the importance of authenticity, so I've gone to great lengths to make sure this feature version of Best Friend is as faithful in its representation as it is in its humor, pace, and story. RespectAbility and ReelAbilities - have both noted the script and applaud the humorous way it punches up at ableism without sacrificing people with disabilities.
Best Friend is available to pitch or discuss with agents, managers, or producers interested in pushing the final frontier of inclusion: Disability. People with disabilities spend more than eight trillion dollars a year. Surely there is a market for content creation that is both inclusive and entertaining for global populations.
